Red Cloud Photographed in 1880 Colorized by Franchi Torres FT imagens in 2023.
Red Cloud (1822-1909) was a highly influential Native American chief of the Oglala Lakota. He was born in what is now Wyoming and died at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota
Red Cloud is best known for his leadership in the Red Cloud's War (1866-68), a conflict between the Lakota and the US government over control of the Powder River Country in Wyoming and Montana. Red Cloud emerged as the dominant leader of the Lakota during this time and was able to secure a major victory for his people in the Treaty of Fort Laramie (1868), which recognized the Lakota's ownership of the Powder River Country.
Red Cloud was a skilled diplomat and worked to improve relations between the Lakota and the US government. He traveled to Washington, D.C. several times to meet with government officials and was recognized as a powerful and respected leader by both Native Americans and non-Native Americans.
I am a Mechanic Technologist turned photographer and digital artist. I specialize in restoring and colorizing old photos, as well as creating original digital art. I use photoshop to enhance the realism and beauty of my images, paying attention to skin tones and environmental details. My images can be printed on various products such as canvas, posters, towels, mugs, T-shirts, etc. My themes are very diverse, ranging from Hollywood stars to old cars, from rock stars to planes and trains. Restoring and coloring photographs makes me feel like I am traveling back in time and witnessing history firsthand.
